Role Overview:
Fluence seeks an experienced Director of Strategic Sales – Americas to expand and accelerate market share in the Americas region, primarily focused on Canada. This role demands strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and demonstrated experience in sales and market development within the energy storage or renewable energy sectors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve new customers, markets, and cultivate existing relationships. Ensures effective coordination with marketing efforts.
- Structures cohesive sales strategies through customer analysis, market insights, and geographic territory analysis.
- Executes regional sales growth strategies based on market analytics to increase market share and revenue.
- Collaborates with the Sales Team to understand customer needs and propose solutions effectively meeting those needs.
- Monitors market evolution and informs Product Development, Marketing, and Sales about growth plans incorporating analytical approaches.
- Conducts competitor research to keep strategic sales and strategies on target.
- Cultivates internal partnerships to improve processes, products, and quality in support of best business practices.
- Demonstrates Fluence values through open communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Educates key market audiences on energy storage benefits and develops programs for transitioning early-stage opportunities into meaningful sales leads.
- Analyzes market trends and opportunities shaping strategic sales direction for Fluence in the Americas region.
- Manages competitor intelligence and customer feedback activities to gain insights into market dynamics.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field emphasizing strong analytical skills.
- At least 10 years in growth-oriented roles, with significant experience in strategic selling within the energy storage or renewable energy sectors; plus, at least 2 years managing teams directly or indirectly.
- Strong understanding of market participants, stakeholder landscape, and customer segments across the region.
- Proven ability in leveraging advanced analytics, market intelligence, and customer feedback for business expansion.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills required for communicating complex concepts to both internal and external audiences.
