About the Role

New Value Solutions is a national IT consulting company seeking an experienced OT Network Engineer to join our team. This role involves centralizing and governing OT/IT systems, optimizing terminal networks, supporting technology advancement, and ensuring robust cybersecurity in collaboration with operational technology partners.

Job Description
  • Manage, implement, and maintain operational technology (OT) and (IT) networks in accordance with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Configure and manage Cisco Firepower and Fortinet security appliances to ensure the integrity and security of OT networks.
  • Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies, within OT networks.
  • Strong understanding of all networking protocols TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, CIPs, ARP, BGP DCHP, DNS, and being able to manage and design traffic egress and ingress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Rockwell and HMI systems into OT networks, ensuring seamless operation and interoperability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including performance optimization, connectivity problems, and security incidents.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain accurate inventory of OT assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to OT networks and cybersecurity.
  • Develop and manage business continuity plans for the OT systems and ensure those plans are established and tested.
  • Maintain and manage redundancy of information in our data centers ensuring proper backup, cyber protections, and sufficient air gaps of critical infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of HMI, PLC control systems, such as Rockwell Systems, Factory Talk, and other associated platforms.
  • ~10+ years of experience in the Information Technology field.
  • ~7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in an Operational Technology environment.
  • ~ Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or control systems engineering.
  • ~ Strong understanding of Cisco Firepower security appliances and their configuration for OT network protection.
  • ~ Solid experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies.
  • ~ Familiarity with Rockwell and HMI systems and their integration into OT networks.
  • ~ Experience with industrial or logistical operations systems to assess and implement IT/OT applications effectively.
  • ~ Digital and innovative mindset, balancing technology strategy, change management, and business context.
Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
