Job Title: Business Development Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team at SOHYA CONSULTING INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas
  • Plan development projects to drive economic growth and job creation
  • Develop venture capital sources to support business development initiatives
  • Respond to enquiries from members of the business community concerning development opportunities
  • Provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals
  • Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale and retail consumers
  • Develop social and economic profiles of an area to encourage industrial and commercial investment
  • Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products
  • Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articles on business development trends
  • Conduct analytical marketing studies to inform business development decisions
  • Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional, or international areas to assess development of potential and future trends
  • Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals
  • Design market research questionnaires to gather data on business development opportunities
  • Evaluate customer service and store environments to inform business development strategies
  • Design, conduct and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects to inform business development decisions
  • Develop feasibility studies to assess the viability of business development initiatives
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote business development opportunities
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia to share knowledge and expertise on business development
  • Develop and implement business plans to drive economic growth and job creation
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in business development or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
  • Excellent written communication and reliability
  • Team player with a positive attitude
