Process Engineer Intern: Gold Mining Operations

Lake Shore Gold is seeking a skilled and motivated student to support the Mill Department at our Bell Creek Mine site in Porcupine, Ontario.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an established industry leader and contribute to a growing organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining compliance with legislative, company, and site regulations;
- Entering data into the daily metallurgical file and issuing the daily metallurgical report;
- Conducting mill sampling for determining ore moisture content, plant circuit surveys, grind analyses, etc.;
- Performing precise and reproducible sampling at month-end to determine mill gold inventories;
- Managing reagent inventory counts and calculating required charge-outs for the warehouse to process;
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the lab and ordering equipment as needed;
- Executing lab experiments, including size analysis, leach tests, carbon activity, and ETP tests;
- Becoming proficient in mill refiner jobs and mixing reagents required by mill operations and geology;
- Participating in special projects as assigned;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; and
- A valid driver's license.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a mineral/chemical engineering program to be eligible. Additionally, they must have access to a vehicle or arrange carpooling, as public transportation is not available.
