About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Gasfitter to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their homes are comfortable and safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Professionally repair and perform maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Customer Service: Ensure the safe operation of all Gas appliances and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Installation and Assistance: Work in service, water heater installation, and or assistance roles/duties, in the field or in the warehouse, in assigned areas and surrounding areas as assigned.
  • Team Player: Willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team and be flexible to the work assigned in the spirit of this multi-functional role.
  • Sales and Marketing: Responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers, offering for sale other company products and services.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate ability to communicate and problem solve to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Education: Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must have Domestic Gas Fitter B license. Must have at least a Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Physical Demands: Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required. Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Service Skills: Must have outstanding customer service skills.
  • Punctuality and Dependability: Very punctual and dependable.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain company vehicle to neat, clean and safe standard.
  • Previous Experience: Previous HVAC experience preferred - Some knowledge of the heating, cooling, and boiler trades will be an asset.
