Digital Skills Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced User Experience Designer to join our team as a Digital Skills Trainer at BrainStation Inc. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for teaching our 12-week User Experience Design Diploma program to students.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Deliver lectures, provide expert technical guidance, and facilitate in-class activities, group discussions, demos, and mentor students who are building exciting projects using cutting-edge technologies.
- Curriculum Development: Co-create BrainStation's curriculum that will positively impact the lives and careers of hundreds of individuals across our campuses.
- Content Creation: Actively work on writing and researching new content to teach the most up-to-date design skills to our students.
- Team Collaboration: Constantly improve your own skills and apply these skills in collaboration with other BrainStation Educators in order to build the digital platform and tools needed to effectively deliver educational material.
- Education Experience: Define the education experience of the future.
- Experience: 3-5+ years experience as a User Experience Designer and a certificate, diploma, or post-secondary degree in a related field OR 8+ years work experience in the vocation.
- Leadership: Experience building and leading technical teams.
- Technical Skills: Expertise working with industry-standard tools used to design and prototype software solutions, including Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and InVision.
- Design Thinking: A deep understanding of design thinking and the frameworks used by organizations to design highly usable software solutions.
- Teaching Experience: Experience in a teaching role, and are comfortable speaking to large groups and mentoring others on the job.
- Personality: An empathetic, inclusive, enthusiastic personality, and is someone who enjoys helping others and facilitating learning.
- Work Ethic: A strong work ethic with the utmost integrity and desire to excel and succeed.

The estimated compensation for this position is $85,000 to $110,000. This is an estimate and a compensation offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, and alignment with market data.
