Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounting department in financial management and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop business strategies and implement changes as needed
  • Maintain accurate and reliable financial records, including bank account reconciliations and general ledger balances
  • Develop and implement plans to improve financial performance and reduce costs
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and other required documentation
Qualifications:
  • 5 years experience in financial management, preferably in a senior role
  • CPA designation and strong knowledge of Canadian public sector accounting standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct team members
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and make recommendations for improvement
