Job Overview

Capital Engineering Partnership is a leading company in the engineering industry, recognized for its commitment to safety and employee satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Department Head to join our Edmonton-based team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for championing safety within the organization, influencing the goals and direction of the company as a key member of the leadership team, and utilizing industry connections and key client relationships to drive Capital's growth. They will also be responsible for the stable growth and development of the team through recruitment, mentorship, training, and resourcing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion safety within the organization.
  • Become a key member of the leadership team, influencing the goals and direction of the organization.
  • Utilize industry connections and key client relationships to help fuel Capital's growth.
  • Responsible for the stable growth and development of the team through recruitment, mentorship, training, and resourcing.
  • Accountable for the resource loading for the department.
  • Work with other Department Managers and leadership to streamline interfaces and improve collaboration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • An Electrical Engineering degree.
  • A Professional Engineer designation by APEGA.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Over 5 years as a discipline lead.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
