Job Summary

Axelon Canada is seeking a highly skilled Data Modeling and Analysis Expert to join our team. As a key member of the Global Functions Technology team, you will be responsible for onboarding models onto our forecasting platform by implementing model requirements using various scripting techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data models to support business decisions;
  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective data management and analysis practices;
  • Participate in creating effective and efficient processes and governance;
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in software development life cycle;
  • 5+ years of experience gathering requirements and specifications;
  • Experience working with Python, SQL, MS Excel;
  • Strong understanding of econometric modeling techniques and financial industry experience;
  • Education: Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience;
  • PREFERRED MBA (Finance) or Master's in Finance.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a contract opportunity with a hybrid schedule, requiring reliable internet, computer, and android or iPhone for remote access into client systems during remote work.
