About Best Office Inc.

We are a dynamic wholesale establishment seeking an experienced Wholesale Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess excellent market analysis skills and be able to effectively negotiate prices with suppliers.

Job Summary

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of the wholesale industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study market reports and trade periodicals to stay up-to-date on industry trends
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets
  • Determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase based on customer requirements
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, considering factors such as quality, price, and supplier reputation
  • Supervise work of other buyers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to identify new business opportunities

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a wholesale buying role
  • An undergraduate degree from a recognized institution
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure may vary based on location.
