We are seeking a qualified Powerline Technician Specialist to join our team at Toronto Hydro Grid Response Team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a team player, and willing to work shift work plus overtime. You will be eligible to receive a shift premium for work on the Grid Response Team. The ability to work collaboratively with a partner to effectively troubleshoot problems within the distribution system is essential.
Requirements
- Red Seal Distribution Lineman (Must have Red Seal Certificate or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 -10 years distribution experience.
- Class 4 Rubber Glove experience.
- Class DZ mandatory (preference to AZ).
- Working at Heights Cert up to date.
- Live within daily driving distance of the GTA. Local to GTA preferred.
Assets
- Valard Construction is a CUSW Union employer: CUSW member would be an asset / must be willing to join CUSW union.
- Positive Attitude and good work ethic.
- Living in Toronto Area.
- Previous Toronto Hydro experience.
- Current UWPC.
- Standard First Aid (CPR/AED).
