Job Summary

Valard Construction LP is seeking a skilled Powerline Technician to join our Toronto Hydro Grid Response Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical power grid, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on overhead and underground distribution systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot problems and resolve issues
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Meet or exceed performance standards and safety protocols

Requirements

  • Red Seal Distribution Lineman certification or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-10 years of distribution experience
  • Class 4 Rubber Glove experience
  • Class DZ mandatory (preference to AZ)
  • Working at Heights Cert up to date
  • Live within daily driving distance of the GTA

  • Valard Construction is a CUSW Union employer: CUSW membership is an asset
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic
  • Previous Toronto Hydro experience
  • Current UWPC
  • Standard First Aid (CPR/AED)
