What you can expect to do here:

  • Provide leadership in the development of innovative engineering solutions for various mechanical building systems.
  • Develop technical drawings and specifications, collaborating with architects, engineers, and trade contractors.
  • Contribute to integrated design solutions, ensuring constructibility and quality throughout the design process.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced team members, empowering them to take on complex technical challenges.
  • Conduct quality reviews, ensuring best practice design principles and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

What you'll bring to WSP Canada:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • Minimum 12 years of mechanical engineering and design experience on major complex building projects.
  • Experience working in different delivery models, including CM progressive design packages, Design Build, and P3.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a strong desire to collaborate and problem-solve in an integrated team environment.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code.
  • Detailed understanding of LEED v4.0 and ASHRAE 90.1 standards.
  • Advanced understanding of quality standards relative to mechanical design and planning, engineering fundamentals, and principles.
  • Working-level understanding of REVIT MEP 3D is considered a definite advantage.
  • Eligibility for Canadian Federal Government Enhanced Reliability clearance is a mandatory requirement for this role.
