As Director of Design Operations, you will play a crucial role in our Design division, reporting directly to the Design Director. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of the design team's operations, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding client expectations.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing workload forecasting and progress analysis for new and prospective projects;
- Developing Schematic Design and Design Development reports and drawings;
- Assigning tasks to junior staff and reviewing their completion;
- Representing Enersolv at meetings with clients and stakeholders;
- Auditing contract documents to ensure adherence;
- Implementing programs to improve quality, products, and services;
- Training staff on design processes to ensure continuity;
- Managing small to medium projects with minimal supervision;
- Establishing procedures and systems for team management;
- Staying up-to-date on relevant codes and innovative designs;
- Participating in hiring, promotion, and performance monitoring;
- Collaborating with the Construction Division on Design & Build projects.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
- ~7+ years of experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems;
- ~3+ years of AutoCAD experience;
- Relevant project management experience in consulting engineering environments;
- Ability to manage working drawings and specifications from project inception;
- Ability to read Architectural, Structural, and Electrical drawings;
- Ability to apply prescriptive requirements of plumbing, building, and fire protection codes;
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
- Professional communication skills to work with clients, contractors, engineers, and suppliers.

- A competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000 depending on experience.
