Position Summary

The Outreach Worker plays a vital role in the coordinated service delivery team, working proactively with new and existing clients to offer a range of support and recovery services. This position requires a relationship-builder and advocate who can provide services in a non-judgmental and culturally appropriate manner, helping clients build new skills and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

Functioning as part of the coordinated service delivery team, the Outreach Worker works proactively with new and existing clients, offering a range of support and recovery services.

Providing services in a non-judgmental and culturally appropriate manner, helping clients to build new skills and achieve their goals.

Qualifications

Valid Drivers' license and access to a reliable vehicle

Minimum of 2 years' experience working in community, preferably with the program's target population

Experience providing outreach with hard-to-reach populations

Critical Skills

Proven knowledge and ability in relationship-building, critical thinking, facilitation, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills

Focus on Results

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus work-related activities to effectively and efficiently achieve service goals and produce expected results/outcomes

Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions and the impact of colonization on the health and well-being of Indigenous individuals and families

Post-secondary education in a Social Services field
