Job Title: Corporate Legal Counsel

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team at Dexterra Group. As a trusted business partner, you will provide timely, high-quality, and practical legal support to our national and regional business teams in Canada and the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted business partner, providing strategic and practical advice to business divisions related to corporate commercial and contract matters, mergers and acquisitions, financing activities, securities law, regulatory controls, and management of litigation.
  • Proactively anticipate and assess potential benefits and risks associated with business opportunities and operations.
  • Implement processes, controls, and new resources/tools to ensure business operators and decision makers are better equipped to assess and manage legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws/regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario) and in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 to 10 years of post-call corporate law experience.
  • Strong technical legal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand complex issues of files and find pragmatic and creative solutions to issues while exercising good business judgment.
