About the JobThis role involves maintaining and balancing financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and calculating fixed assets and depreciation. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping accurate financial records, establishing and maintaining various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, posting journal entries, and preparing statistical and financial reports.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining Financial Records: Ensure all financial records are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Asset Management: Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Reporting: Prepare statistical and financial reports, including trial balance of books and reconciliations.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A College or CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a permanent position with 30-35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
