Job Summary

As a Site Superintendent for Residential Wood Structure Projects, you will be responsible for managing a project under the supervision of the Project Manager. You will ensure that work is carried out efficiently, productively, and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a project under the supervision of the Project Manager;
  • Ensure that work is carried out efficiently, productively, and safely;
  • Independently coordinate site activities in compliance with the customer's plans and specifications;
  • Enforce compliance of suppliers and subcontractors with contractual requirements;
  • Write site reports, complete control sheets, receive materials delivered to site;
  • Plan construction schedules and ensure compliance;
  • Inform the project manager of progress and make any necessary adjustments to the work schedule;
  • Follow up with the project manager to ensure that all required documents are up to date;
  • Eliminate all deficiencies in order to receive provisional and final acceptance of the project;
  • Manage material, equipment, labor, and subcontracting requirements;
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma in architecture (or building-related field) combined with at least 5 years of relevant experience as a superintendent on major projects, or professional diploma in a construction trade combined with at least 10 years of relevant experience as a superintendent on residential wood-frame projects;
  • Basic computer skills (common tools and software);
  • Autonomous and proactive;
  • Valid driver's license.
