Software Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Director to join our team at 4AG Robotics in Salmon Arm, BC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the software development lifecycle for our robotic systems, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead Software Development: Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the software strategy aligned with our company's goals and vision, setting objectives and defining priorities.
- Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing software engineering team, mentoring and guiding software engineers to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software into our proprietary robots, designing and implementing scalable, robust software solutions.
- Project Management: Oversee software project planning, scheduling, and execution, managing resources and ensuring timely delivery of software solutions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software development, preferably within the field of robotics, automation, or AI-led companies.
- Proficiency in software development methodologies, programming languages, and tools, with experience in robotics software development, real-time systems, and AI/machine learning.
- Proven track record of leading and managing software engineering teams.
