Software Developer Job Description

PKF Antares is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Calgary Office team.

You will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements as part of our national and local practice.

Our team provides a one-stop solution on Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Assurance, Accounting, Taxation and Internal Controls advisory services.

As a Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

You will be involved in Data Analytics and engage in coding, code reviews, and teamwork to deliver high-quality software that aligns with project objectives.

You will contribute to innovation across various domains, from web and mobile applications to embedded systems.

Proficiency in English with excellent oral communication, values, and ethics, effective interpersonal skills, team player.

A master's degree, usually in computer science, or equivalent experience.

Execute the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Integrate software components, ensuring the creation of a fully functional software system.

Conduct thorough research, analyze technical data, and synthesize information to conceptualize, develop, and rigorously test computer-based systems.

Develop models for data, processes, and networks to optimize architecture and evaluate design solutions for performance and reliability.

Plan strategically, design, and oversee the end-to-end development, installation, integration, and operation of computer-based systems.

Ensure continuous software updates with the latest features.

Provide leadership and coordinate interdisciplinary teams of information systems professionals for the development of software, integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems.

Proven work experience as a Software Developer.

Ability to develop software in C++, Java, Python, Go or other programming languages.

Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies.

Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework.

Experience with test-driven development.

Proficiency in software engineering tools.

BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
