About the Role:

The Service Employee plays a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our school bus fleet. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including fueling, oil changes, and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opens the gates to the lot and checks bus parking areas to ensure all buses can be dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate records and completes reports, including fuel variance reports and meter calibration reports.
  • Notifies the Location Manager when a fuel delivery is required and ensures accurate stick readings are taken before and after delivery.
  • Checks and fills the oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and belts on buses being fueled.
  • Performs light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as required.
  • Performs any other management requests or directives as requested.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of bus maintenance.
  • Ability to learn maintenance skills.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
