We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Commercial Insurance team in Medicine Hat, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring sales and service staff meet production targets, and implementing strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Responsible for all day-to-day team management, including motivating staff to participate in company objectives and continuously keeping front-line staff informed of changes or new directions.
- Commercial Insurance Operations: Manage the Commercial Insurance operations in the branch to achieve growth and profitability targets, including implementing and monitoring Commercial Insurance objectives with respect to growth, retention, accounts receivable, quality of the books of business, and expenses.
- Strategic Planning: Communicate, implement, and monitor strategies to ensure goals and objectives are attained, working collaboratively with other Branch Managers to ensure the quality of services and sales meets expected standards.
- Staffing and Leadership: Accountable for overall staffing and leadership of the team, including developing succession planning for all key positions and responsible for the general administration of the team, including IT, payroll, hiring staff, and human resource changes and management.
- Post-Secondary Education: A degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years relevant work experience in the insurance industry, with a strong background in Commercial Insurance.
- Insurance Designation: Insurance Designation (CAIB, CIP, FCIP or AIIC, RIBO or AIC Level 2).
- Skills: Strong people management skills, analytical reading and interpretation of numbers, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
