Job Summary
Dynacare is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Lake Country, BC. As a key member of our Laboratory and Health Services Center, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens with accuracy and efficiency
- Enter requisitions and results in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity and quality
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns with empathy and kindness
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and laboratory processes
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with phlebotomy specialization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues
