We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatchers Supervisor to join our team at RiteWay Moving & Storage. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of our dispatchers, ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management, providing insights and recommendations to improve productivity and product quality.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair work as needed.
- Staff Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Work Scheduling and Coordination: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient use of resources and meet deadlines.
- Materials and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support operations.
- Operational Logistics: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise a team of 11-15 people, including shippers and receivers, transportation route and crew schedulers.
- Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Windows.
- Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check, be bondable, and have a clean driving record.
- Transportation and Travel: Willing to travel, with vehicle supplied by employer, and travel expenses paid by employer.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and handle heavy loads.
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliable, and a team player.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
This role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
