Job Description

Hiring for a seasoned Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations of all entities within our medium-sized organization.

Responsibilities:
  1. Closing Processes: Manage period-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  2. Reporting: Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and various operational reports to support business functions.
  3. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  4. Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  5. Stakeholder Expectations: Understand stakeholder expectations thoroughly and utilize accounting expertise to meet those needs.
  6. Year-End Process: Oversee the year-end process, coordinating with external auditors to facilitate the financial statement audit.
  7. Audit Resolution: Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues.
  8. Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of all relevant taxes for assigned legal entities.
  9. Process Improvement: Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for enhancements within the new ERP system, prioritizing automation where feasible.
  10. Mentorship: Mentor and develop three team members, ensuring all receive the support they need to succeed in their roles.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting with 2+ in leadership.
  2. Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of consolidated financial reporting, GAAP, and internal controls.
  3. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  4. Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills, including the ability to perform complex calculations and create detailed financial models.
  5. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  6. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Communication: Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across different departments and levels of the organization.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Experience with external audits and regulatory compliance is a plus.

Compensation$120,000 - $145,000
