Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of early childhood and kindergarten programs within the public education system of the Government of Northwest Territories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement projects that support early learning initiatives, including the Junior Kindergarten (JK) and Kindergarten (K) programming.
  • Contribute to the department's goals by supporting access to quality, affordable, inclusive early childhood education programming throughout the Northwest Territories.
  • Provide professional learning opportunities to early childhood educators within licensed programs and the public education system.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to address the needs of early childhood education and care in the region.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will typically need a degree in early childhood education and three (3) years of experience working in early learning environments, including one (1) year of experience in a school setting working with curriculum development and/or providing professional learning to educators.
