Tactical Security Specialist

The Tactical Security Guard at Respite Shelter plays a pivotal role in safeguarding residents, staff, and premises. This position involves implementing security protocols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and fostering a secure environment within the shelter setting.
As a seasoned Tactical Security professional with 2 years of experience, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and build a career in Law Enforcement. Our Toronto location offers a dynamic work environment and a chance to make a meaningful impact.

- Monitor and control access points to the respite shelter
- Verify the identity of individuals seeking respite services
- Conduct regular patrols to deter and detect security risks
- Use surveillance systems to monitor key areas and respond to incidents
- Respond promptly to calls for service and emergencies
- Follow established protocols for various types of emergencies
- Provide assistance and support to shelter clients
- Administer first aid and emergency assistance
- Coordinate with emergency services as required
- Valid Ontario Security Guard license
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Empathy and sensitivity towards individuals experiencing homelessness
- Training in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Tactical Security
- Law-related educational degree or certification
