Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled CAD Manager to support our Critical Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our Common Data Environment (CDE) and supervising all CAD efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the BIM Manager and Project Delivery Teams in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.
  • Assume the role of CDE administrator and ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
  • Define discipline design organization and participate in project execution, including design approach, schedules, standards, budgets, and procedures.
  • Provide management and supervision for CAD team members, including performance evaluations and ongoing support.
  • Develop and maintain Modeling/Production templates.
  • Make staffing assignments and monitor productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel.
  • Review work produced to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates.
  • Measure and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain trackers.
  • Provide training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Advises engineering and project management regarding problem areas, staffing requirements, progress slippage, scope changes, budget overruns, or other events that could negatively affect project completion or profitability.
  • Actively participates in the company Quality Improvement Process (QIP).

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or certificate of completion in CAD design from an accredited technical institution (or equivalent).
  • 12 years of experience in supervisory roles within a similar industry.
  • Experience in a Consultant or Contractor Environment on Rail & Transit projects.
  • Experience with ISO 19650.
  • Proficient in a range of BIM authoring, scripting, design review, coordination, simulations, and collaboration applications and/or platforms.

Preferred Skills:

  • International Organization for Standardization (19650, 12006).
  • British Standards BS/PAS Series (1192, 91).
  • Civil3D Modelling.
  • Common Data Environment.
  • Project Information Model Delivery.
  • Quality assurance compliance and validation.
  • Collaboration, coordination, and clash/clearance detection and resolution.
  • Quantity Take Off / schedule creation.
  • Construction planning, animated programme (4D) and progress reporting.
  • As-built model delivery.
  • Asset Information Model Delivery, COBie, O&M and asset tagging.
