Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Petro Canada. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our sales floor, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Oversee the activities of sales staff, ensuring they are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign tasks and responsibilities to sales staff, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new sales staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the role.
- Teach Interest or Professional Development Courses: Develop and deliver training programs to help sales staff improve their skills and knowledge.
- Exhibit Designers Plan and Develop Exhibits: Work with exhibit designers to plan and develop permanent and temporary exhibits for our retail spaces.
- Order Merchandise: Order merchandise and supplies for our retail stores, ensuring we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
- Authorize Return of Merchandise: Authorize the return of merchandise that is defective or does not meet customer expectations.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for sales staff, ensuring we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise to customers, ensuring we meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring we provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail sales environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
