As a Site Superintendent with Qualico Canada, you will play a critical role in directing and overseeing on-site construction activities across multiple construction sites. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with trade partners and suppliers to schedule material deliveries and labor.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with Qualico's standards and all relevant building and safety codes.
- Complete daily hazard assessments as part of the company's safety program.
- Interpret plans and specifications, identify and resolve issues, and communicate with the project management team.
- Supervise and develop on-site team members, providing guidance and direction to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
- Ensure adherence to Qualico's Safety Program and relevant safety legislation, including site safety orientations, regular safety meetings, and required reporting.
- Meet with customers prior to possession to inspect homes and address any concerns or inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain project schedules, complete regular progress reports, and provide updates to the project management team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of site superintendent experience in residential construction.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Experience overseeing and managing multiple construction sites.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and construction management software.
- Physical ability to perform basic construction duties.
- Creating trusting and successful working relationships.
- Setting clear, measurable, and achievable goals.
- Cooperating with team members in an open, positive, and respectful manner.
- Staying current with technical job skills.
- Consistently meeting customer expectations.
- Taking responsibility for the outcomes of decisions and actions.
You will primarily work on-site during regular business hours, with occasional travel to the regional office or other site locations. The role may require working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, occupational hazards, and inclement weather.
