We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our public health nursing team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs that promote best practices in public health nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Determine education priorities that meet clinical and learner needs, in collaboration with the Manager/Director
- Develop and revise educational programs based on clinical evidence, policy, and education theory
- Deliver learner-centered education to individual or groups of staff and patients/clients/residents/families
- Evaluate education program effectiveness by measuring outcomes and assessing learning
- Collaborate with other practice leaders to provide leadership, consultation, and performance support to clinical staff
- Support staff to plan and carry out patient/client/resident/family education about discharge planning, illness prevention, and health maintenance
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Three years of recent related public health nursing clinical experience, including one year of education and/or leadership experience
- Completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area
