Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at SARJU ENTERPRISE LTD.

Job Summary:

The Construction Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to complete their tasks.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out to the required standards.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all site personnel are aware of and comply with health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a construction-related field.
Work Environment:

The Construction Site Supervisor will work outdoors on construction sites, exposed to various weather conditions.

Work Setting:

The Construction Site Supervisor will work in a fast-paced construction environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills.

Tasks:
  • Prepare production and other reports: Compile and submit regular reports on site activities, progress, and any issues that may arise.
  • Supervise workers and projects: Oversee the work of construction workers, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities: Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Set up machines and equipment: Ensure that all necessary equipment and machinery are available and in good working order.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies: Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies as required.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

The Construction Site Supervisor will provide support to newcomers and refugees, assisting with their immediate settlement needs and supporting their social and labour market integration.

Support for Youths:

The Construction Site Supervisor will offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to youth, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.

Support for Indigenous People:

The Construction Site Supervisor will provide support to Indigenous workers, offering mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Support for Visible Minorities:

The Construction Site Supervisor will offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
