We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler System Fitter to join our team at HAVEN FIRE PROTECTION LTD. as a key member of our installation and maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Coordinate Materials and Personnel

Plan and organize the delivery of materials and tools to ensure efficient installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems.

Train and Mentor Apprentices

Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices to ensure they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Install and Connect Piping Systems

Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment, ensuring all connections are secure and meet safety standards.

Install Supports and Valves

Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools.

Service and Repair Sprinkler Systems

Inspect and test sprinkler systems to identify any issues or defects, and perform repairs and maintenance as needed.

Supervise and Coordinate Team Members

Oversee the work of other team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Test and Inspect Systems

Test sprinkler systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment, and inspect systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Maintain and Clean Equipment

Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings, and flush systems to ensure they are in good working order.

Measure and Cut Pipes

Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size, ensuring all connections are secure and meet safety standards.

Remove and Replace Worn Components

Remove and replace worn components, and reactivate systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Select the type and size of pipe required for each installation, ensuring all specifications meet safety standards.

Read and Interpret Blueprints and Specifications
