As a cardiac sonographer, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions. You will use non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment to perform Echo ultrasound examinations, adhering to the department's standards and techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Echo ultrasound examinations as requested
- Work alongside physicians to assess patients and their conditions
- Use technology to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
- Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred
- Experience in a tertiary care setting
- Experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, TEE, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Stress Echo, and Research Echo
- Experience with Philips IE 33, Epiq 7 and Xcelera Workstations
- Experience with General Electric Vivid E95
- Competencies in other languages, French preferred
- Competitive hourly rate: $34.24 - $39.96
- Market Adjustment of approximately $369.23 biweekly
