About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Estate Planning Specialist to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As an Estate Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in providing insurance-based solutions to clients of RBC Wealth Management.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will support our Estate Planning Specialists in delivering exceptional client service and exceeding sales targets. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end insurance sales processes, analyzing client cases, and making recommendations to ensure that our clients' needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Client Facing Sales Support: Actively contribute to sales targets assigned to Estate Planning Specialists and to overall team success.
- Manage end-to-end insurance sales processes, including policy delivery to clients.
- Analyze client cases and make appropriate recommendations.
Back Office(Administrative) Support:
- Plan and manage day-to-day activities in the absence of Estate Planning Specialists.
- Plan weekly/monthly business meetings, develop agendas.
- Review documentation and correspondence filing procedures and ensure an organized system is in place.
- Support in-force servicing through client reviews and respond to requests.
- Ensure client inquiries and any problems are responded to in a timely manner and recorded in a contact management system.
Business Development Activities:
- Increase awareness of Wealth Management Financial Services and develop new business opportunities through 1-on-1 presentations, group/branch presentations, and in-force analysis.
- Manage pending cases and take appropriate actions to move clients along in the sales funnel.
- Use internal software to communicate, plan, and develop case work for yourself and Estate Planning Specialists.
- Work closely with head office and manager to execute initiatives to generate new sale opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships in the region and branches with Investment Advisors, Associate Investment Advisors, Branch Managers/Assistant Branch Managers, Financial Planners, Wholesalers, and other internal & external partners.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Excellent Communication Skills: In English, both written and verbal.
- Life Insurance License (LLQP): Required.
- Experience in the Insurance Industry: Minimum 5 years.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Life and Living Benefits Insurance Products: Essential.
- Marketing Experience: To build business social awareness.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience dealing with high-net-worth clients and 1 year of direct client-facing experience would be an asset.

Salary Estimate: Based on national averages, we estimate the salary for this role to be between $60,000 and $100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
