Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Senior Project Controls Specialist. This position is crucial for ensuring the effective management of project controls within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate the Front End Planning Process to ensure project alignment and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain precise and up-to-date project schedules.
  • Conduct monthly updates to schedules and perform comprehensive cost analyses.
  • Create and manage program-level schedules utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Prepare and secure approval for necessary change control documentation.
  • Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms using Power BI.
  • Support the financial processes of projects, including the utilization of EcoSys.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of Project Management Office processes and methodologies.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of project controls information systems.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Business, or related fields. Professional designations such as P.Eng, PMP, CCP, or PSP are highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience with project controls principles, including project scoping, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.
  • A proven history of delivering successful outcomes; familiarity with Primavera P6 and EcoSys is advantageous.
  • Experience in project management or project controls within a nuclear energy environment is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management practices and methodologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and present reports, project plans, and briefings effectively.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities, with a self-motivated approach to work, both independently and within a team.
  • A keen interest in dynamic and challenging work settings where initiative and self-drive are valued.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to governance and procedures with a critical and analytical mindset.
