Project Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Officer/Engineer to join our team at Cpus Engineering Staffing Solutions Inc.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and driving the Front End Planning Process, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules, performing monthly updates and cost analysis.
- Develop and maintain program-level schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Prepare and obtain approval of applicable change control documentation, ensuring compliance with governance and procedures.
- Develop and maintain reporting on Power BI, providing insights and analysis to stakeholders.
- Facilitate and support project financial processes, including the use of EcoSys, ensuring efficient and effective project management.
- Assist with continuous improvement of Project Management Office processes and procedures, ensuring best practices and engineering excellence.
- Assist with development and continuous improvement of project controls information systems, ensuring data-driven decision making.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Business, or a related field, with strong assets including P.Eng, PMP, CCP, and PSP certifications.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience with project controls principles, theories, and concepts, including project scoping, risk management, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling.
- Experience with Primavera P6 and EcoSys, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Project management or Project Controls experience within a Nuclear generating facility, with a strong understanding of engineering and construction management concepts, methods, and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver reports, briefings, project plans, and presentations.
- Good organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment, dedicated to engineering excellence and best practices.
- Strong interest in fast-paced, challenging work environments, with a willingness to show initiative and self-motivation.
- Strong understanding, execution, and following of governance and procedures, with a questioning and analytical attitude.
