Role Overview

As a seasoned Senior Project Manager at Meridia Recruitment Solutions, you will oversee multiple project teams and manage a diverse portfolio of large-scale building and infrastructure projects, from inception to completion. Your expertise will be instrumental in troubleshooting issues that arise during the project lifecycle, and you will be expected to recommend innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams to achieve project goals and vision, fostering strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients.
  • Support project management teams in developing and driving construction schedules, ensuring timely completion and milestone achievement.
  • Recommend cutting-edge construction methodologies to increase project excellence and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Meridia Recruitment Solutions' rigorous Quality Program.
  • Apply financial management expertise to plan, manage, and respect project budgets, costs, and associated purchasing.
  • Share knowledge and mentor project team members to promote professional growth and development.
  • Serve as an expert in risk management to minimize project risk.
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on assigned projects.
  • Effectively apply project-specific safety standards to promote Meridia Recruitment Solutions' HSE standards and applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes.
  • Celebrate project success and completion, serving as a key member of the project close-out process.

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management degree/diploma from an accredited institution (a combination of education and industry experience would also be considered).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience working as a project manager in the general contracting or construction management sector.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, building codes, and relevant legislation.
  • Serve as a role model with regards to health and safety, as well as quality.
  • A passion for building and nurturing exceptional stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals of various disciplines.
