About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineering Technologist to join our team at Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario. As a member of our Engineering team, you will play a key role in designing and developing custom service bodies for various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed drawing packages to assist in the manufacturing of service bodies;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline design and manufacturing processes;
  • Provide training and guidance to production teams on new processes and procedures;
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards;
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering Science Degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma;
  • Two or more years of experience as a mechanical designer in mobile-equipment manufacturing or related environment;
  • Proficiency in Solidworks, Auto CAD, and MS Office;
  • Knowledge of welding and metallurgy;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
