Role Overview

KPMG in Canada is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Oracle Finance Manager. As a key member of our Enterprise Solutions Oracle team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality results and meeting project objectives. Your expertise in Oracle finance administration, configuration, and functional support will be invaluable in driving business-led technology-enabled transformations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement and support finance modules in Oracle Cloud as the Functional Lead.
  2. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Cloud Finance.
  3. Conduct requirement gathering workshops, manage and run conference room pilots, and drive user testing and training workshops.
  4. Design and implement solutions to drive business-led technology-enabled transformations.
  5. Collaborate with key stakeholders, partners, and customers in multiple areas.
  6. Undertake or manage configurations to tailor solutions to client needs.
  7. Undertake or manage technical activities such as data conversions, integrations, security, etc.
  8. Work with agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  9. Manage and work in teams and individually as needed, including international teams.
  10. Coordinate with the Advisory team to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems.
  11. Work alongside Business Systems Analysts, Developers, Architects, Managers, and Implementation Partners to determine scope of work, plan resource allocations, and determine the criteria for a successful Oracle implementation.
  12. Lead projects or streams ensuring adherence to the established project methodologies, standards, tools, processes, policies, and procedures.
  13. Collaborate closely with the KPMG Senior Project Manager to support project tasks and deliverables, encompassing planning, budgeting, performance tracking, gap analyses, progress reporting, and risk and resource management.

Requirements

  1. A degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required for roles in Oracle Finance. Advanced degrees or certifications in Oracle technologies or finance are advantageous.
  2. 5+ years prior experience in managing teams, Oracle finance administration, configuration, or functional support roles is highly desirable. This includes proficiency with all modules in two or more Oracle Finance Cloud ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CE, SLA, Project Accounting, etc)
  3. Experience or knowledge with related supply chain modules such as Procurement and Inventory is an asset.
  4. Strong understanding of finance processes, policies, regulations, and compliance requirements specific to Oracle Finance to provide effective functional support and assistance to end-users.
  5. Track record of delivering high-quality results and meeting project objectives.
  6. Ability to collaborate closely with Finance professionals, administrators, HR teams, finance teams, IT support staff, and end-users to address Oracle finance-related inquiries, issues, and requests.
  7. Solid organizational skills with capability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  8. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines, particularly during payroll processing cycles and peak absence periods.
  9. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of Oracle Finance data and information, adhering to data security and privacy regulations and best practices.
  10. Fluency in English is required (French is an asset).
