We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team at BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our Labour and Delivery department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Manage patient records, including filing and retrieving charts
- Enter patient information into our electronic medical record system
- Coordinate patient transfers and discharges
- Prepare and process physicians' orders
- Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phones and responding to emails
- Grade 12 graduation
- Graduation from an approved Nursing Unit Clerk program
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- One year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
