Job Title: Perinatal Unit Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Perinatal Unit Clerk to join our team at BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre. As a Perinatal Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering telephone calls and relaying messages to healthcare staff
  • Entering patient information into our electronic health record system
  • Preparing charts for new admissions and maintaining patient records
  • Transcribing and processing physician orders
  • Providing administrative support to our healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 graduation
  • Graduation from an approved Nursing Unit Clerk program
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • One year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
