Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Anglophone North School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in planning and maintaining plant operations and maintenance of schools and other district properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring that all schools and related buildings provide a safe and healthy environment for students, employees, and guests.
  • Respond to school administrators and teachers on issues affecting school-building performance.
  • Manage daily operations related to the administration of the physical plant and computerized Maintenance Management System (Megamation).
  • Participate in Health and Safety and Labour/Management meetings as requested.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of physical plant problems and assign maintenance personnel.
  • Respond to inquiries and concerns related to facilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a community college in architectural or engineering technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in physical plant management or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with strong skills in MS Office products.
  • Exceptional written, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Written and spoken competency in English.
Working Conditions

This position will require shift work, including days and evenings. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing custodial staff and related duties and equipment. Heavy lifting of supplies and equipment is also required.
