About the Role
The Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC - K03 is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that manage and route web traffic to Amazon's websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance software solutions that meet the scalability and security requirements of Amazon's websites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain software code that is modular, reusable, and follows best practices
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that code meets quality and security standards
- Work with the team to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
