We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Excellence Manager, Fabrication to join our team at our Head Office. This role reports directly to the Director, Manufacturing Excellence.

As part of a dynamic and diverse team, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence across our fabrication plants throughout North America.

Job Summary

Develop and implement Industrial Excellence initiatives within our fabrication facilities, ensuring alignment with divisional KPIs and maximizing the potential of staff, systems, equipment, and site operations.

Principal ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & Environment / Quality
  • Champion a safety-first culture and support Aliaxis's Divisional & Global Safety standards deployment.
  • Support the implementation of the Divisional HS&E strategy, ensuring site accountability and reporting on progress, events, and initiatives.
Manufacturing Excellence
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Manufacturing Excellence roadmap for North America, standardizing solutions across all fabrication sites.
  • Contribute to the development of a divisional organizational structure that delivers Manufacturing Excellence across regions, ensuring alignment, discipline, and financial targets are achieved.
  • Establish performance indicators to manage, root cause, and continuously improve production processes.
  • Support businesses in delivering against manufacturing excellence KPIs and annual budgets.
  • Ensure the implementation of North American-wide projects and initiatives through ongoing liaison with key stakeholders.
  • Lead Manufacturing process improvements.
  • Support the development and implementation of a standardized management system.
  • Centralize, standardize, and deploy best practices across fabrication sites.
People
  • Contribute to fostering a Best Place to Work environment.
  • Execute on manufacturing excellence goals plant-wide to achieve performance, financial, and staff development objectives.
  • Coach, assist, and develop Manufacturing Excellence leaders to drive operational shop floor excellence and remove barriers for employees to meet measurable objectives.
  • Deploy and participate in Gemba walks and coaching on 5S / standard work / visual management development/modification/adherence, M.D.I., continuous improvement, flow, and problem-solving and other lean methods, techniques, and processes.
  • Support individual mindsets to help foster a culture of change leadership.
  • Support planning, execution, and sustainment of Kaizen and Lean manufacturing related events within value stream teams.
  • Track and report program progress and communicate with plant leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related Technical field is required.
  • LEAN Six Sigma certification is an asset.
  • 10-15 years of proven successful experience in supporting or leading manufacturing sites or teams, with a focus on manufacturing excellence projects and demonstrated process improvement success.
  • Demonstrated experience of having led teams in a performance management environment across different sites in operations or support roles.
  • Solid project management experience.
  • Must have a solid understanding of Engineering, Project Management, Lean Principles, Six Sigma, and Financial acumen.
