Job Title: Front Store Clerk
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Store Clerk to join our team at Neighbourly Pharmacy in Swan River, MB. As a Front Store Clerk, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and greet all customers with a smile and hello.
- Handle telephone inquiries quickly and courteously, and avoid keeping in-store customers waiting.
- Assist with cash handling, stock shelves, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Develop product knowledge and learn about new products, including their locations and store layout.
- Request cash pick-ups when large sums of money are accumulated, and anticipate requirements for change before running out.
- Handle lottery and CBO tickets according to store procedures.
- Use tact and courtesy when dealing with difficult customers, and know whom to refer a customer to if they have a complaint.
- Maintain the store's general appearance, including cleanliness, restocking, and merchandising.
- Participate in the development and preparation of displays, windows, and seasonal promotions.
Requirements:
- Ability to handle cash with accuracy.
- Ability to function for an extended period while standing.
- Some customer service and cashiering experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with customers.
- Excellent product or service knowledge.
- Multitask and manage the demands of numerous clients at once.
- Mature and cooperative attitude.
- Professional image, including a name tag and proper grooming.
Work Schedule:
- 6-hour shift
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
