About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in Langley, B.C. as a Community Mental Health Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health and substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive treatment and care management services to clients with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling and education to clients and their families.
  • Work with clients to identify and address barriers to care, and provide support and follow-up planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Document assessments, care plans, and client progress in accordance with practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Two (2) years recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
