Senior Portfolio Analyst, Technology Specialization

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our Investment Team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing sector coverage on Technology, Media, and Telecom companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial information to determine current and future financial performance of Technology, Media, and Telecom companies.
- Evaluate annual reports and other regulatory filings to identify trends and opportunities.
- Organize and analyze collected information to write research briefs for the investment team.
- Develop and maintain expertise on securities under your responsibility, including financial models and research reports.
- Collaborate with the investment team to provide ongoing coverage of relevant events and make investment recommendations.
Requirements
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in securities analysis, preferably in the Technology, Media, and Telecom sectors.
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience with investment systems and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret research and make investment recommendations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and accurately.
