Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our Investment Team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing sector coverage on Technology, Media, and Telecom companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial information to determine current and future financial performance of Technology, Media, and Telecom companies.
  • Evaluate annual reports and other regulatory filings to identify key trends and insights.
  • Organize and analyze collected information to write succinct research briefs for the investment team.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to provide ongoing coverage of relevant events and make investment recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and provide insights to the investment team.

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in securities analysis, preferably in the Technology, Media, and Telecom sectors.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and ability to create complex models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret research and make investment recommendations.
  • Passion for investing and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
