We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant, Communications to join our team at Island Health. As a key member of our Communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic communications plans to support our organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert communications counsel to Executive Directors, Medical Directors, and other leaders at Island Health.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform communications strategies and develop effective messaging.
  • Develop and execute communications plans to engage employees, physicians, volunteers, patients, and the community.
  • Oversee external and internal suppliers for communication projects, ensuring quality and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Ensure communication materials meet corporate standards and quality expectations.
  • Plan media publicity, speaking opportunities, community displays, social media, and advertising to enhance the corporate image and support organizational strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Five to seven years of recent related experience in a communications or public affairs role in a large public sector, healthcare, or a similarly complex organization.
